Spice Cake Lab

The preparation for the Spice cake was pretty good, there were many ingredients and flavorings added to it, but in the end it tasted realli good. But make sure when you mix the buttercream to put on the cake, that you add and mix the ingredients well to the point that its only glossy and slippery. Dont mix too much or the ingredients will dry out and it will look like oatmeal. If that happens, it works well if you add powdered sugar. It brings back the fullness and makes it look more like the buttercream recipe. Trust ME. Its a life saver. (lol).
The Cake was full of strong, sweet spices like the apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. You can definitely taste them really well together. Especially when you put the buttercream on top.
The Spice Cake was really well, it tasted very sweet with a little spice flavoring to it. I think this cake was very good. It had great texture, the taste was amazing, it smelled very good and sweet,  and you could definitely tell that this was a Spice Cake.

The Art Of Eating In blogg #2

So far in the first 50 pages of the book, a girl named Cathy lives in apartment building in Brooklyn, NY, and she makes a goal that she wants to stop going out to eat and cook her own food and become (thrifty). She starts doing that goal and she actually starts to like it and she shows her friends and boyfriend how great it is. The first food she begins making is breads. She loves them and she comes across a magazine on a "Bread-Off" contest and she begins experimenting the breads for it. She goes to the contest with bread that really smelled but she still entered them. It gave off a fermented beery smell, but the people seemed to enjoy it. She ended up winning the contest, but it was a tie against a man that made whole wheat bread. She still went home satisfied and kept making breads.

The Art Of Eating In

A book review by: Brittany, S
The Art Of Eating In by: Cathy Erway
Published in 2010.
I expect the book to be about being creative in cooking and spending less. (Being Thrifty).
So far in the book: A girl named Cathy who is a typical New york Girl that wants to quit eating out at foods like Mcdonalds, KFC, etc.. She struggles like everyone else when it comes to money and she thinks she has an idea on how to make a change and thrive through the hard times. And be a thrifty, Saver.
My opinion of the book is that it's alrite and it seems pretty good so far. I like the idea in the book so far. And i plan to keep reading on. :)
Discussion Q's:Can you name any other ways of being thrifty or doing what she does?, How would you describe the main character as?, and What do you think of being a typical New Yorker eating out, and why?
